Let’s talk about how to create and customize an instagram account the right way for your brand. We’ll cover the basics for any business who hasn’t already created a presence on instagram.
Enter your full name and your password. The name of your brand or business is what you want to include in the ‘full name’ field.
Your full name will become your username. You can easily tap the “change username” option on the next screen to change your username if you need to.
Start by adding your brand’s logo. Once you have your logo, it’s time to customize the rest of your account with your brand.
Edit profile: Under the “website” option, include a link to your website. Use a link to a landing page where customers can take action.
In the “Bio” option, you should include information about your brand. It should include your target keywords and hashtags, as well as a test only URL.
To increase your reach, we recommend you add the hashtags with the highest engagement reates to your bio by tapping on them.

The instagram algorithm prioritizes hashtags that are relevant to the content in a post, and not whether the post is stuffed with niche hashtags.
Using the “search” feature, tap on the ‘search’ icon on the lower left corner of the screen menu. You’ll find trending hashtags by content category, and find trending hashtags by using the autocomplete function.
If you tap on the “beauty” category, for example, you can see what hashtags are trending on that specific category under “related hashtags”.
You can add some of the hashtags that are featured in this section to your posts to increase your reach. Write down and save the ones that are most relevant to your content so you can later use them with your targeted hashtags.
Finding Targeted Hashtags
Once you find relevant trending hashtags by category, you’ll have to find targeted hashtags that you can use to reach a much more targeted audience on instagram.
Tap on “search” and then on the “tags” tab. This allows you to find targeted hashtags with help from the autocomplete function. When you type a niche keyword into the ‘search hashtags’ field, it will show you a complete list of hashtags based on the keyword or term that you entered.
You can do targeted hashtag research in 2 steps:

Look for hashtags using long-tail keywords. You’ll find fewer hashtag suggestions because you’ll be using a term that’s used by a very specific audience, so you’ll have to select the hashtag suggestions with the highest engagement.
These niche hashtags will help you to reach users searching content with those keywords. They will also increase brand recognition by helping users associate those specific keywords with your brand and your content.
Make sure to follow your new niche hashtags by tapping on them and then tapping on the “follow” button.
Use hashtags that have been added to over 50,000 posts but no more than to 1 million posts to ensure maximum qualified reach.
